AVELEDA SOLOS RANGE

Aveleda

Solos de Xisto

DOC Vinho Verde

Soil:

Schist

Vintage:

2024

Grape varieties:

Alvarinho

A wine from the rarest type of soil in the Vinho Verde region: schist soil.

Wines from schist soils tend to be more full-bodied and complex. They retain the characteristic freshness of Vinho Verde wines, but with a different depth and aromatic profile.

The mineral notes here are more earthy and less incisive than in granite wines, complemented by nuances of ripe fruit and spices.

A wine with earthier mineral notes that are less incisive than wines from granite soils.

Tasting Notes

Color: Pale lemon yellow with golden hues.

Aroma: Aromatic intensity evoking hints of lime and lemon and a light white flower.

Flavor: Velvety and balanced profile, accompanied by a very elegant freshness and a long finish.

Pairings

Ideal with fresh, light fish, seafood, and salads.

Serving Suggestions

• Serve at a temperature between 10º and 12ºC.
• Store horizontally in a cool, dry place, away from light.
• Consume within 10 years of bottling.

A gama Aveleda Solos is a tribute to the geological diversity of the region. Wines that reveal, with precision and authenticity, how granite and schist shape the character of the land and the wine.
